Vietnamese food goes beyond pho and spring rolls and varies by regions: fresh vegetables continue to dominate the tables, while meat and poultry are rising in popularity. Applying for a visa to Vietnam seems stressful at first- why would you need a visa to Vietnam while you are granted free 30 day entry to Thailand and Ecuador? Vietnam requires you anyway, and to alleviate the pain, the process has been made quite easy. Besides visa at the embassy, Vietnam visas can also be granted upon arrival. All you need to do is to apply online for your approval letter via a number of online travel companies, which are plentiful on the net. The visa letter will be emailed to you after 2 days. If you leave close to the embassy, it will take only about a week.

        

WHY VIETNAM #8. It’s a natural thing 

Think Vietnam and many still think about a war-torn country- not necessarily but that is usually the case. Vietnam is more than just its war memory: its natural resources are something worth talking about. National parks abound, and you can enjoy a variety of activities you could never enjoyed back in your country: camping and bird-watching in the tropical forest of Cuc Phuong or Cat Ba; renting a jeep and touring Cat Tien national park; wind-surfing crash course in Nha Trang. In Hai Phong, the buffalo fighting festival is a well-known occasion: the winning buffalo will get killed and presented to the village god. Vì sao du khách đến Việt Nam "một đi không trở lại"

(Tamnhin.net) - Bao năm nay tôi luôn canh cánh trong đầu 1 câu hỏi: Tại sao trên 80% khách du lịch đến Việt Nam và không quay trở lại. 

Tôi là hướng dẫn viên du lịch bất đắc dĩ. Vốn có nhiều bạn bè từ khắp các nước trên thế giới và lại thuộc diện máu mê du lịch nên tôi đã tự nguyện dẫn hết người nọ đến người kia, từ đoàn nọ đến đoàn kia tham quan rất nhiều địa danh ở Việt Nam. 

Từ Sapa, Lào Cai đến Hạ Long, Yên Tử. Từ đền Đô, chùa Phật Tích, Tam Đảo, rừng quốc gia Ba Vì đến nhà thờ đá Phát Diệm, Tam Cốc, Bái Đính. Từ cố đô Huế, Phong Nha, đến Hội An, Mỹ Sơn, Nha Trang. Từ Phú Quốc, Mũi Né đến Vũng Tàu, đồng bằng sông Cửu Long. Rồi Buôn Ma Thuật, Gia Lai, Đắc Lắc, Đà Lạt,…  Bao năm nay tôi luôn canh cánh trong đầu 1 câu hỏi: Tại sao trên 80% khách du lịch đến Việt Nam và không quay trở lại.

Trong khảo sát bỏ túi của tôi thì năm nay 83% khẳng định không muốn quay lại Việt Nam. Mặc dù Việt Nam có rất nhiều phong cảnh tuyệt vời, thiên nhiên đáng quý, nhiều nơi muốn khám phá. Con số này trong 5 năm qua luôn nằm từ 80-90%!

Nguyên nhân đầu tiên mà khách du lịch khó chịu khi đến Việt Nam là tình trạng “chặt chém”. Họ luôn cảm thấy như bị lừa. Mà bị lừa thật. Tôi chợt nhớ đến câu chuyện mua chiếc quần bò trên 1 phố rất nổi tiếng của Hà Nội cách đây mấy năm. Cô bán hàng ra giá 220 ngàn. Tôi mặc cả 180 ngàn và cô ta bán. Về nhà mấy người em bảo tôi bị lừa, vì giá chỉ hơn trăm ngàn. Tôi quay lại và mua 1 chiếc với giá 120 ngàn (người bán hàng vẫn đòi giá 220 ngàn). Về nhà và tôi thấy vui vì đã phát hiện ra mức độ nói thách. Tuy nhiên vì tính tò mò, ngày hôm sau tôi quay lại và đã mua được chiếc quần bò giống hệt vậy có …90 ngàn. Tôi không dám quay lại mua thêm cái thứ 4 vì sợ mình ngất mất!

Cũng cách đây 10 ngày tôi lái xe chở các bạn bè về thăm quan 1 số chùa, đền ở Nam Định và Thái Bình. Chúng tôi đến chùa Keo. Đầu tiên người ta gạ gẫm đổi tiền lẻ. 3 người bạn tôi đã đổi. Tiếp theo người ta mời viết sớ. Mấy chị ở đây kêu, có 5 ngàn 1 sớ thôi mà. Và họ dã kẹp giấy than viết 1 sớ thành 4. Viết xong có 1 người bê theo 1 chai nước, 1 gói bánh, cho sớ và mấy tờ giấy tiền đựng trong 1 cái đĩa. Chỉ 1 cái lễ rất nhỏ. 1 người đi theo và cúng giúp. Mấy người bạn tôi hỏi giá tiền. Họ bảo không đáng bao nhiêu. Cuối cùng kết thúc chuyến tham quan và lễ Phật, một bạn phải trả 350 ngàn. 1 bạn khác là 250 ngàn. Tôi và các bạn đã rất bực mình và to tiếng với họ. Nhưng không trả tiền đâu có đi khỏi đây được!

Đấy là chuyện nhẹ. Có người đã từng bị ăn 1 bát phở giá 500 ngàn hay ngồi nhờ nghế phải trả vài chục ngàn.
Khi gõ những dòng chữ này, tôi đã hỏi ý kiến 1 người bạn thân thiết và nhận được ý kiến như sau “ở Sầm Sơn, Thanh Hóa, thì luôn mài dao để chém cổ du khách vì nghĩ một năm chỉ có một phi vụ làm ăn”.

Mà chuyện mời chào ở  các khu du lịch thật khủng khiếp. Nhiều nơi người bán hàng ra lôi tay khách vào, thậm chí ép khách mua. Nếu không mua thì bị nói xấu, kêu ca, thậm chí chửi bới.

Vấn đề thứ 2 là rác. Tôi đã từng đi đến hơn 40 quốc gia nhưng không đâu nhiều rác như ở Việt Nam ta. Ngay cả những nước quanh chúng ta như Trung Quốc, Lào, Thái Lan, Cam Phu chia, Indonexia,… cũng không đâu nhiều rác đến vậy. Chỗ nào cũng là rác. Nhiều nơi chúng ta phải đi trên rác, ngồi ăn quanh rác, ngắm rác. Nhất là túi ni lông. Nhiều vô hạn.

Mới chủ nhật rồi, chúng tôi lên Tam Đảo. Bạn tôi khen khí hậu mát, khen rau xu xu ngon. Khen không khí trong lành và tĩnh mịch. Nhưng khi tôi hỏi, tuần sau quay lại nhé, bạn lắc đầu. Rác nhiều quá!

Nguyên nhân thứ 3 là ngoại ngữ. Rất đáng tiếc là tại khá nhiều khách sạn nhân viên không biết ngoại ngữ. Nhiều khách nói tiếng Pháp, nhân viên không hiểu. Họ quay sáng nói tiếng Đức, vẫn không hiểu. Nói tiếng Anh vẫn không trả lời được. .. Khách bó tay! Trình độ ngoại ngữ của chúng ta yếu quá. Làm du lịch không biết ngoại ngữ thì làm sao được. Nếu không biết ngoại ngữ ta giao tiếp sao đây!

Anh Sudhir Pai đến từ Mumbai, Ấn Độ bảo tôi, tại sao các bạn sinh viên Việt Nam đều khẳng định đã học tiếng anh trong đại học mà không nói được. Tôi chợt nghĩ: chắc các bạn ấy mua điểm để pass môn ngoại ngữ và học ngoại ngữ để cho qua và lấy bằng chứ không phải để làm việc! Nghĩ vậy là không dám nói với bạn mình.

Có nhiều người bạn của tôi đã từng đi các tour thì chê hướng dẫn viên du lịch. Họ cho rằng các hướng dẫn viên chưa được đào tạo bài bản, chưa có chuyên môn tốt, hiểu biết còn hạn chế. Cái quan trọng nữa là thiếu đi cả sự nhiệt tình. Tôi chỉ mong những nhận xét này là phiến diện và không đúng với thực tế của các hướng dẫn viên Việt Nam ta.

Ở Việt Nam đắt quá! Đó là nguyên nhân làm nhiều nguồi bất ngờ. Nhưng quả thật, ở Việt Nam cái gì cũng đắt. Một ví dụ đơn giản, ở ngay giữa Siêm Riệp, chỉ cần bỏ ra 1 đô la là có 1 đĩa cơm rang hải sản rất ngon và tươi, rẻ. Còn ở Việt Nam, bỏ ra 20 ngàn đồng ở khi du lịch, bạn khó chọn được 1 cái gì để ăn.

Giá khách sạn cũng vậy. Mới cách đây vài năm Steve Gandy bảo tôi, một phòng ở khách sạn 5 sao chỉ 70 đô la, nay đã lên 200. Còn phòng bình dân bây giờ ở Hà Nội và Sài Gòn cũng khó có thể book với giá dưới 300 ngàn đồng. Bạn tôi còn đưa ra 1 ví dụ khá thú vị rằng 5 ngày đi du lịch Thái Lan ở khách sạn 4 sao, ăn uống, tham quan, nghỉ ngơi cả mấy thành phố đầy đủ mà hết chưa đầy 300 đô la. Trong khi bay từ Hà Nội vào TP HCM 2 chiều đã hết 200 đô la. Vậy nên du lịch trong nước hay nước ngoài?

Mới đây đọc trên báo tôi mới phát hiện ra Hà Nội là một trong những thành phố đắt nhất thế giới. Nếu đắt vậy, liệu có hút được khách du lịch không!
  
Dịch vụ du lịch ở Việt Nam nghèo nàn. Chúng ta chưa có dịch vụ tổng thể. Các doanh nghiệp làm ăn manh mún. Các doanh nghiệp chưa phối hợp lại với nhau, chưa cùng nhau làm du lịch. Mỗi doanh nghiệp hình như chỉ nghĩ đến việc của mình, tìm cách móc túi khách hàng mà chưa có tầm nhìn, chưa nghĩ đến việc làm ăn lâu dài. Khách đến với 1 điểm du lịch mà không có dịch vụ tổng thể sao níu chân họ quay lại!

Tiềm năng du lịch Việt Nam hơn hẳn Thái Lan, Singapore, Malaysia... Tôi cho rằng tiềm năng của Việt Nam nhất trong khu vực. Điều kiện địa lý tự nhiên, lịch sử, văn hoá, tôn giáo, phong cảnh, những bãi biển, những dãy núi, bao hang động, gần 60 dân tộc... đã tạo cho Việt Nam có tiềm năng du lịch dồi dào.  Chúng ta lại là cửa ngõ để khách từ việt Nam sang Lào, Camphuchia, Thái Lan, Singapore, Trung Quốc,… 

Nhưng liệu mỗi chúng ta có thể làm gì để níu chân khách, để biến du lịch thành nghành thu về được nhiều tiền. Chưa nói đến việc hút khách nước ngoài mà hãy bàn đến việc để ngay 86 triệu dân Việt Nam có thể du lịch ngay trên đất nước mình.

Hè này bạn đi đâu? Bạn sẽ bỏ ra 10 triệu đi trong nước hay chi 300 đô la để đi Thái Lan?
